Questions We Get All the Time
Do I need to know what I want before I get started?
Not at all. That’s exactly what the onsite consultation is for. Your designer will ask the right questions, look at your property, and help you figure out what’s possible, what fits your property, and what makes sense for your budget.
What if I don’t like the design?
Every package includes at least one round of revisions. We’ll review the plan together at our Garden Center studio and make adjustments until it’s right. Minor tweaks — swapping plants, adjusting bed edges, changing material colors — are covered in your revision.
Do I need to provide a property survey?
A survey helps us work faster and more accurately. If you don’t have one, we can still move forward — your designer will perform a manual site measurement. A $200 field measurement fee applies in that case.
Does Earth Works do the installation too?
Yes. And when you choose Earth Works for the install, 50% of your design fee is credited back to your project’s final billing. We handle everything from plants and hardscaping to drainage and lighting.
How long does the design process take?
Every property is different, and we don’t rush the creative process. Most projects move from onsite visit to design reveal within one to three weeks depending on size and scope. We think the best designs are worth the time it takes to get them right.
What about HOA submissions and permitting?
If you move forward with Earth Works for installation, HOA documents and permitting assistance are included as part of the process at no additional charge.
